Why is it important to stay assembled?
There was a time in America when the church was the focal point of a community's culture and calendar. Families would make it a priority to attend church services and functions almost every time the church's "doors were open." Times have certainly changed. The majority of Americans no longer attend church on a weekly basis and many of today's "practicing" Christians only attend one church service per month.
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
